clay jewelry dish
Last week I've made lots of clay dishes and pots. I kind of got addicted to them!

I had two ideas, to have some all in white with lace texture and others with gold details.
I followed the tutorial from 'a bit of bees knees' which is very easy to follow.
I got my white clay, some lace, paper doily, over proof pot and gold powder.

I did follow the tutorial but instead of using the oven proof pot to cut the round dish I used round biscuits cutters, the edge is much cleaner and defined.
I then overlayed the lace and baking paper on top and used the roller gently. I loved peeling the lace and see the result.

I baked the pots and dishes, once cooled, I glazed the laced part and kept the rest matt. I love the white dishes with the smooth and pattern contrast, accentuated by the glazed and matt finish.

I've decided to paint some of the pots with gold details. I mixed clear nail polish with gold powder and painted quickly the edges and the textured parts. Here the finish product. Which one is your favorite?
